Papiamentu (or Papiamento) is a mixture of Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, English, French, and it also has some Arawak Indian and African influences. Papiamentu is one of the few Creole Languages of the Caribbean that has survived to the present day.
I’m learning papiamentu @Yomini. It’s nice to speak with your colleagues and local friends.
If you have trouble finding the right words, you can use this translator. It’s still in BETA, but it can be very useful.
If you run into words that aren’t included, contact the devoloper and he will extend the database.
